BEAUFORT — The North Carolina Coastal Reserve and National Estuarine Research Reserve will be hosting a free, two-day adult summer camp in Beaufort on July 31 to Aug.1.
The camp will teach participants to conduct conservation science activities, such as tracking wildlife and estimating population sizes, including for the rare Crystal Skipper butterfly. Other topics that will covered include marine debris and more.
Fieldtrips to Fort Macon State Park and the Rachel Carson Reserve are included. The camp will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on both dates. Those interested in attending must register.
