Photo of the Week: April 13-19, 2015
Photograph by Teresa Daines of Maggie Valley.
Photograph Teresa Daines took this shot from the top of the spiral staircase inside the Currituck Beach Lighthouse in Corolla, while vacationing at the Outer Banks. “The old architecture and patterns of the lighthouse speak to its history and endurance over time,” she says. The lighthouse is an example of Gothic Revival architecture, and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on October 15, 1973.
