BEAUFORT – The fifth annual North Carolina Marine Debris Symposium at the Duke Marine Lab, 135 Duke Marine Lab Road, originally scheduled for Sept. 11-12, has been rescheduled for Oct. 16-17.
The event includes a planned tour of the Rachel Carson Reserve.
Cost to attend is $25 per day or $40 for both days with a $5 discount for members of the Plastic Ocean Project and Carolina Recycling Association.
The event is also slated to include an underwater debris cleanup and beach cleanup at Radio Island and a school group challenge, Fishing for Trash cleanup at Fort Macon.
