RALEIGH — The state Secretaries’ Science Advisory Board will discuss at its next meeting methyl bromide acceptable ambient level and hexavalent chromium.
The meeting will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, April 1, in the Archdale Building Ground Floor Hearing Room at 512 N. Salisbury St. A full agenda of the meeting is available. If unable to attend, the meeting can be viewed using WebEx. The meeting number, or access code, is 644 850 796.
The Secretaries’ Science Advisory Board includes 16 experts in toxicology, public health, ecology, engineering and related fields, according to the meeting announcement.
The panel assists the state departments of Environmental Quality and Health and Human Services by recommending reviews and evaluations of contaminants, acting as consultants on DEQ’s determinations to regulate contaminants and by helping the agencies identify contaminants of concern and determine which contaminants should be studied further.
