Moores Creek National Battlefield in Currie will be hosting Christmas in the Colonies special program from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 7.
During the free, special event, park staff, volunteers, and other living historians will provide programs and demonstrations focused on the celebration of Christmas in the 18th century.
At the demonstration area, which will be decorated for Christmas, there will be Christmas music with John Golden from 1:30-3 p.m., 18th century toys and games, Christmas cooking, writing with quill and ink, candle making, musket demonstrations and living historians from Tryon Palace and the Burgwin-Wright House.
Moores Creek National Battlefield is the site of a Revolutionary War battle.
