Update Oct. 14:
Hammocks Beach State Park visitor center, ferry service and camping at the park remain closed due to COVID-19 exposure, according to a post Tuesday on the NC State Parks Twitter.
Several staff members of the park located in Swansboro are in quarantine.
Camping is not expected to resume until at least Oct. 21.

Citing a possible COVID-19 exposure, Hammocks Beach State Park’s visitor center has closed until further notice.
Park officials announced the closure Friday on the park’s Facebook page.
Officials said there would be no ferry service over the weekend.
